The eradication of poverty also requires implementing policy reforms that will improve the standard of living, education, health and sanitation. The Foundation will focus particularly on education by engaging in policy discourse and lobbying for strengthening institutions and planning for education reforms. SKMF will also be involved in planning educational policies, improving evaluation system, developing inclusive curriculum and knowledge-generation mechanism. In addition to that, the Foundation will also advocate and support implementation of water resources management policies, access to clean drinking water and promotion of hygiene habits especially among children, women and marginalized communities. In terms of food security and nutrition, the Foundation will push for stronger policies for access, control and ownership of productive resources. It will also work hand-in-hand with government institutions, local development on issues relating to agricultural performance, value-chain mapping and strengthening the existing institutions.
